Are you missing teeth? Replacement may not be as expensive as you might expect. The key to key to minimizing procedures and cost is early treatment, so don’t delay. Our team can evaluate your dental replacement needs and recommend an option you can afford.

For The Health Of Your Mouth

For certain teeth, such as your wisdom teeth, it is unlikely that you will need to replace them as we don’t generally need our wisdom teeth for chewing. For the rest of your teeth, if they are missing and are not replaced movement will occur due to pressure caused by chewing and clenching, and simple wear and tear. This can lead to other problems such as gum problems and /or decay and could cause the loss of more teeth. As you lose more teeth, you will be forced to chew in other areas, which often leads to tooth fracture from overloading, excessive wear and or TMJ (jaw joint) problems. And as time goes on, more extensive and expensive dentistry may be required.

As soon as a tooth is lost the bone will atrophy and the teeth on either side will shift or tip into the empty space. If there is a tooth directly above or below the space it will over erupt, as there won’t be anything to prevent it from coming out of the gum tissue. The movement of the adjacent teeth will not occur immediately, but will become noticeable after three to five years.
