Have questions about our dental cleanings?
How often do I need to have my teeth cleaned?
For most people an appointment every 6 months is fine, but it depends on your overall oral health. If it’s been a while since you’ve been to the dentist, or you’re actively managing gum disease, getting your teeth cleaned more often can be the right choice for your health.
How long is a teeth cleaning appointment?
A teeth cleaning appointment is usually 30 minutes to an hour. It mostly depends on how much plaque and tartar need to be removed, and how easy it is to reach the different areas of your mouth.
Can I eat or drink right after my teeth have been cleaned?
You can technically eat immediately after your teeth have been cleaned, but it’s not recommended. Your teeth might feel more sensitive than usual, and it’s best to give your fluoride some time to securely coat your teeth.
Will teeth cleaning brighten my smile?
It will, but not by many shades. If you’re looking to dramatically brighten your teeth, we’d recommend scheduling a consultation with us about professional teeth whitening.
I floss and brush regularly. Why do I need teeth cleaning?
Even if you maintain a meticulous oral healthcare routine at home, plaque and tartar can still build up over time, especially in hard-to-reach areas. Regular cleanings and exams can also help to identify and address health issues at an early stage.
Say goodbye to plaque, tartar — and dental anxiety.
