A note from Dr. Balogh
My family immigrated to Canada from Hungary between 1956-58, and I am the youngest of seven siblings. I am very grateful to have been born and raised in Canada. At a young age I learned to focus, work hard, and always strive to do my best.
I am also grateful for being able to get through university, dental school and build a dental practice in Burnaby, BC. I have been married for over 25 years to a wonderful and beautiful wife and we have two equally wonderful adult children.
2000+ hours of education in dental implants alone, plus hundreds of hours in related fields.
With Dr. Balogh, dentistry goes beyond oral health.
Your body is a set of connected systems, and – together – your mouth, gums, jaws, and teeth are one of those systems.
By understanding how their care affects the rest of your body, you can make healthier, more informed choices that improve not just the health of your smile, but your health as a whole.
See how his approach changes your experience.
Your trust is sacred.
You count on the VCCID team to take care of your smile and guide you on how to keep it healthy. That’s a responsibility Dr. Balogh takes to heart.
Your whole experience matters.
When you book your appointment. When you arrive at VCCID. When you finish your treatment and get ready to go — Dr. Balogh holds every part of your visit to the highest standards.
Your word carries weight.
When you speak, Dr. Balogh listens, because while he knows the science of dentistry, only you know whether your smile feels truly comfortable and looks exactly the way you want.
Your health comes first.
In dentistry, that means offering full body care through holistic care, and in the community, that means being a mentor and educator for future dentists through AAID Vancouver Maxicourse.
Inspired by faith. Informed by science.

Work for a greater good.
For Dr. Balogh, his faith makes him not just a better person, but a better dentist.
You see, for nearly 50 years, he was all about hard science: if it couldn’t be measured, it wasn’t real. But challenges in his life opened his eyes to God, and he learned just how valuable intangibles like openmindedness and a warm heart can be.
Today, the science is still there, but compassion takes a bigger role— and that makes your care more complete than it would be with either one alone.
Evolve alongside dentistry
Dr. Balogh has decades of experience, but he still completes hours of continuing education every single year.
Why? Because dentistry is always evolving — just think about how metal fillings and braces have become so much less common in the past decade or two. You want the safest, most reliable care, and by staying up to date on the latest tools and techniques, Dr. Balogh is able to give you that.
Treat all people equally.
As one of seven children in an immigrant family from Hungary, Dr. Balogh knows what it’s like to feel new to Canada, and to have to make decisions with a budget in mind.
So, no matter who you are, where you’re from, or how much you earn, Dr. Balogh and the VCCID team will give you their best — that’s a promise.
Give back to the community.
Sometimes that means donating his time to mentor local post-secondary students who deliver affordable treatment as part of their education. Other times it means getting together with other dentists to create safer, more effective treatment standards.
But whatever it is, it’s always about making dentistry better or more accessible for the people who need it.
Dr. Balogh loves improving smiles.
Why not make the next one yours?
