Ready to make VCCID your dentist in Burnaby?

Wise choice.

Welcome to VCCID. You’re in good company! From grandparents to grandkids, we’ve earned the trust of generations of Burnaby residents – and we’ll work hard to earn yours too.

You’ll find all the information you need as a patient right here on this page, with details on how you can set up appointments, get to our Metrotown clinic, and use your insurance coverage.

Booking your first appointment

Call our clinic in Burnaby at 604-434-0248 or fill out the form on our contact page to let us know you’re a new patient and that you’d like to book your first appointment. If you’re leaving a message for us, be sure to let us know what your concerns are/or what treatment you’re interested in.

When we are scheduling your appointment, we will ask for the following information:

Your address

A primary and alternate contact method (phone or email)

Your insurance provider’s name, policy number, and policy ID

Your date of birth

The name of your previous dental clinic and the last time you visited them

Scheduling regular appointments

Once we have your information on file, we will find a suitable time for your appointment. You can make a note of the appointment in your calendars, but we’ll also contact you 2-3 days in advance to confirm that the time still works for you.

You’ll need to do a few things before your treatment begins, so please try to arrive 10 minutes early. Once you’re here, we’ll start by taking your temperature. If everything looks good, we’ll get you to fill out a medical history form along with a COVID-19 form, and then we’ll be ready to start working on your smile.

Our COVID-19 Plan

Your health, and the health of the community, are always top of mind at VCCID. To keep everyone safe during the ongoing pandemic, we’re following all of the safety guidelines provided by the province’s health authorities and its dental licensing body (CDSBC).

Cancelling or rescheduling

Sometimes we make plans and then life comes along with other ideas. It happens!

If you need to move or cancel an appointment that you’ve already booked, that’s okay – please just let us know at least 2 business days in advance so we have time to adjust our scheduling and make sure our team knows about the change. You can still change your appointment within 2 business days, but there’ll be a small $75 charge applied to your next appointment.

Paying and using insurance

We file insurance claims for our patients to take the hassle out of handling all the paperwork. You will be asked to pay for your treatment with cash, debit, or credit card (no Amex). We will then file the claim with your provider.

Providers that offer full electronic billing normally send us an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) in real-time. This allows us to tell you how much reimbursement you can expect from your insurance provider. Most providers process reimbursement within 24-48 hours. If your provider does not reply in real-time or requires non-electronic filing, then we are not able to determine expected reimbursement and it can take longer for you to receive a credit.

Third Party Financing

We offer third party financing through Dentalcard. You can request financing for a portion or the complete treatment with terms ranging from 6 months to 6 years. For more information go to www.dentalcard.ca
