Your smile is at the forefront of all interactions. So for sizeable dental work, it’s important to find a dentist you can trust.
Canadians like you can trust Dr. Peter Balogh and the Vancouver Centre for Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry (VCCID) team. We’re the winners of 6 consecutive Consumer’s Choice Awards for Business Excellence (2012-2018).
Most patents travelling to our dental clinic from other provinces are in need of considerable dental work. Dr. Peter Balogh and the VCCID team are experts in all aspects of dentistry, including dental implants, veneers, Invisalign and other cosmetic work.
So far this year, we’ve had patients travel to our clinic from Alberta, Ontario and the maritime provinces. Here’s what some of them have said about their experience at VCCID:
“I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Balogh and his great staff – particularly Anita and Mario. It takes me 41/2 to 51/2 hours typically to get to any dental appointment with Dr. Balogh. There are apparently many outstanding dentists in Victoria and yet I make the trek. That should speak volumes.” – Jane Marson

Health Care For Out-of-Province Patients
Dental care is not considered a basic standard and varies from province to province. It’s likely that your basic provincial health care plan does not cover dental care.
In some provinces, basic dental care such as cleanings are covered by insurance. However, above basic checkups and cleanings, dental procedures will only be covered under insurance if they are medically necessary.
Provinces generally allow their residences to seek medical attention outside the province they live in, but will require that resident to attain written approval prior to the operation.
If you have an extended health insurance plan, either yourself or through your employer, your dental care may be covered. Be sure to verify that this is the case, prior to booking an appointment.
You can find more information on the Canadian Health Act and insurance coverage for each province here.
