We currently use:
- Composite for fillings
- Composite, porcelain, and gold for crowns, inlays, and onlays
- Composite and porcelain for veneers
These materials often last longer than mercury and have been proven cost effective, to bond well to tooth structures and can be matched to the color of your teeth. They’re typically more expensive than mercury fillings, however, today many dental plans cover non-mercury filling materials.
